I will not be leaving this blog anytime soon....

but I do have my new Vagabond Creations blog up and running. It still needs a lot of work, but it is presentable. It was a lot of work.  For those of you with IT savvy, I am sure you would laugh at my struggles, but for those with no  background, I can't even begin to tell you what I had to do to create this dang thing.  Many tutorials and Google searches later, it is at least up and running.

 I created a second blog for a lot of reasons. 

First, it is a Wordpress blog so I can host it free on my Vagabond domain.  Second, the photos post a lot larger.  Also, it dosen't have as much "stuff" on it. It is a cleaner and more professional design to represent Vagabond.  Mostly, I think it will help me maintain this one even better because it is not tied to my "official" photography.  I feel like I can post a snapshot or a little story without a photo on here...or about music or vent about something and I can leave the polished photos and business photos for the other site (not that there won't be polished ones here too, but hopefully I will take the pressure off from posting only good photos and "appropriate" stories.)  When I update there, I will make sure to link to it and/or give a preview here too.  So, friends and family should come here first and foremost.

I am staying here also because it hosts my photo albums and has all of my archives (which I think I can move but they have a home here and I have some sentimental attachment to this place in Internet space.)

Other than tonight, in most cases, all photos of the boys will be here AND sometimes there...but always here for sure.

I should have posted these about 20 months ago...

I finally got around to taking some nursery pics.  I can't even call it a nursery anymore.  :::sigh:::

Anyway, here they are in the big chair:

 

The armoire (that is too big for the room but much needed).  The vintage picture on the wall was given to Bob when he was born and Grandma Barb gave it to the boys when they were born.

 

The bumper is no longer there, but I put it in the crib to show how it ties in with the valance. There use to be a crib skirt too.  Both are long gone.

So, there it is.  I promised these pictures almost two years ago.

In other news, it was my birthday (20 minutes ago).  We didn't have a babysitter, so things didn't turn out like planned, but it was still a nice night. We took the boys to a field for some photos, so I will post those soon.

I am still photo editing my last two weddings and working on a new blog.  It is a Wordpress blog and I am really stretching my brainpower to get it up and running (creating a ftp site, creating databases on my domain, messing with CSS and all kinds of stuff I didn't think I could figure out.) 

More on that soon.

I am losing it people....talk me down.

It was a rough day.  I will sum it up this way:  They only took a one hour nap.  Blinds were broken.  Blood was spilled,  Tantrums were thrown, I gained a bruise. I counted down from 100, twice. I did a yoga warm up and ended up putting them in the van around 5:15 and going for a drive..which ended with me playing the music so loud, I could almost drown out their screams (before you think I am too mean, they were crying because they decided they wanted to throw their pacifiers on the floor.)

I then fed them fast food (which I never do...ok, rarely), sang them a song, skipped the story and put them to bed.  They then proceeded to throw out their pacifiers three times and scream and pound on the crib until I came back in and gave them back to them.

Yeah, it was fun.  Bob was at work if you are wondering where he was during this.  Really, most days are pretty good, but today was not one of those days.

I am still in the middle of editing..or trying to edit (but it is kind of hard when Bob is gone all the time with overtime and golfing).  Both weddings were beautiful.  The 20th was a lovely day and the love between the couple was so evident and I loved all the little details that made it such a special day.  The 27th wedding was just pure fun.  The bride was a princess and the groom and his men were the most entertaining crew, ever.  Just to give you a little sneak peak; the guys wanted me to take this shot of them and photoshop in mustaches.  These same guys threw the groom in the air and climbed up in trees for shots, so I figured this was the least I could do:
