2 Hours Traffic

Awe.

We went to the MOA for our annual JDRF Walk for my nephew Nathan.  We coughed up the money to go through the Underwater Aquarium (which was quite cool but, I think, seriously overpriced at almost $20 an adult head.)

The boys were in awe, well, at least in as much awe as I have ever seen them.  It was worth the money to watch them take it all in.

Oh, and sorry for the blurry photos...bad lighting and moving sidewalks make things a little difficult.

Finn finds everything quite amusing.

Finn says, "Mommy, this is SO not OK with me."

   

Well, Dear Finny, Dear Finny, Mommy is getting desperate.  The only way she can get you both to sit relatively still for a picture is to stick you in a snow bank.  Desperate times, desperate measures.

Crazy Hair Johnson

AKA: Kian. Little dude has the wildest hair.  I think it is hilarious when people try to push his hair down...like we are really inept parents and let him out looking like a ragamuffin.  They try.  It never works.  That kid has one heck of a cowlick.  Bob, in his always progressing nickname database, calls him, Crazy Hair Johnson.

 

 

 

And, one more of Finn, Mr,-I-won't-look-at-the-camera-dude.  He is also dead set on being a baaaaaaby.  He won't walk (he can, but won't), he won't talk (not that Kian is much better, but Kian at least tries on occasion.)  No, Finn is set in his ways.  When I ask him when he is going to start to walk or talk, he looks at me with his little demon eyes and "says", "Mommy, I don't wanna walk,  I wanna be a baaaaaaby!"

Finn gets this little mischievous look in his eyes from time to time. I have tried to capture it on video or on my camera, but it has been pretty elusive.  His eyebrows arch up and he gets little demon eye...and he melts my heart..little stinker.

So, yesterday since I was off from school due to the extreme cold, I was trying to get in a few semi-formal shots of the boys (get those 13 month photos done).  Um, yeah, I certainly know that my photography forte is NOT young children.  My patience is really really thin when they don't cooperate...and when DO they cooperate at this age?  I did get a few cute shots of Kian, but Finn would not cooperate; however, I did capture his demon eyes a couple times yesterday.  I would call these "developing" demon eyes..not the full fledged possessed look.

...and here is a Christmas photo of the calm before the storm (Christmas Eve...we are Christmas Eve people...German/Polish all-the-way!). Everyone looks so happy and healthy. We didn't know that the nasty stoamch virus was coming our way the next day.
