My mom used to sing the first two lines of the song, but she never sang more than the first two lines for some strange reason, so I decided to add to the song.  It has been developing over the last few months.  The boys usually giggle when I sing it (well, they giggle at most goofy songs I sing and plosive words (B's and P sounds mostly).

Yes, this is what my talents have been channeled towards.  To the good of all mankind...

...but, sometimes it doesn't work:

Mommy, that song just ain't gonna cut it!  Hush it and cough up that bottle, woman.

Mother's Day

Poor Mommy and Daddy.  Daddy was sick most of the week and Mommy was THE caregiver for the duration, so it was a busy, hectic week. (but I only have three weeks of school left!  Whoo hoo)

Because of illness, we had to cancel our Mother's Day plans, but I did take the boys shopping yesterday(my first excursion by myself with both boys since they were born.) I bought them a lot of cute things at the outlet mall and got them some necessities at Babies R Us.  ---We are going to try some liner bottles so we can reduce their exposure to BPAs.

Today Bob was feeling better (not great, but better) so we did go out for brunch and back to the outlet mall to exchange a pair of jeans.

It was a nice day with my boys.  I spent a lot of time just looking at them..holding them...laughing with them. I just love them so much.

I know it was my first official Mother's Day, but last year "I" considered it my first one...just no babies to hold.  BTW:  I had just found out I was pg with twins right before Mother's Day last year!

Also, last week they turned FIVE MONTHS!  Here they are:

:::Rant ensues:::

Unfortunately, I have to make a little complaint.  We ordered this from Stork's First Stop in St Cloud.  This was the boy's Christmas present from us, but it was not in stock when we went to buy it.  It took forever to come in (which is OK..they don't know any difference at this age and they couldn't use it until recently), but when it did come it, the price went up.  Stork's blamed it on Combi increasing the price (and they were not happy with Combi), which I believe they did; however, I don't think we should have had to be the recipients of the increase since we ordered before the first of the year.  It was a substantial increase too (about 30%).  I know in most cases, those items are marked up more than that for retail, so they still would have made a profit...albeit smaller.  They were not exactly rude to us, but definitely defensive.

I think what bothered me the most was that I could have ordered it from Babies r Us or Amazon (even after the first of the year), paid less and received it before Christmas or soon after, but I purposely chose to order it from a small local business, and got the short end of the stick.

Anyway, they are still a great little business, but this has been bothering me for a couple of months.  Cute car, cute store.  Just tarnished by this one experience.

I have only bought one small thing from them since then (it is where we got our mattresses and rocking chair BTW.)

Bottom line:  Combi= questionable price increases  Stork's=should have sucked it up for better customer service.
