Ridley

What a super cutie!  I had to take a break from the twin photos to shoot this little guy.

Ridley was my first postpartum photo shoot (besides the boys).  I took these photos on Saturday, and he was a little trooper...for sure one of the happiest babies I have ever had the pleasure to meet. (and now I can't wait for the boys to be able to sit and crawl....so much fun to capture!)

I will be back later this week with some spring photos of the boys.  We were able to get outside today for the first time, and although I didn't get any photos today, I will this week.  I've looked forward to some outdoor photos!  I just wasn't up to it after yesterday's photo shoot and PROM duty until 12:30 A.M.  By the way, you all will be happy to know that the in colors are a peachy orange and bright powder blue, and the gratuitous boobage and bared bellies are down to a minimum this year.  I did have to break up or give a "look" to three couples, but overall, it was uneventful.

...and I am typing a blog entry at 11:40 P.M. for WHAT reason?

5:30 A.M:  Alarm goes off (although no more late night feedings, sometimes this is the first time up for us...sometimes the 7th...like last night which included a 15 minute rocking session at 2:30 A.M.)

5:34 A.M: Bob and Carey roll out of bed.  One takes on the bottles and one unwraps the babies (we still swaddle).

5:45 A.M. or so: Boys eat.  Bob feeds.  Carey takes a shower.

6:00 A.M:  Carey takes over feeding and gets the boys dressed.

6:20 A.M:  Boys back in crib.  Bob getting ready.  Carey getting ready.

6:30 A.M  Bob leaves. Carey continues to get ready.

6:45 A.M Boys usually fall back asleep.  If not too pokey, Carey eats breakfast and/or grades papers/goes on the Internet/watches news.

7:05 A.M.  Start packing up the boys.

7:12 (wishful goal) A.M:  Take boys to Carol's.

REPEAT.

Today, I thought I would throw in a makeshift photo session ('cause I didn't have enough to do ya know.).  Kian was ready and willing...Finn had other pressing concerns.

...and then they were four months...

Seriously?  They came from ME?  Dang, I'm not worthy.

From just a glimmer in my eye...

..to (almost) four months old little boys!

It's been one year!  (confusing?)

The boys are a year old today (give or take 48 hours LOL).

I can't believe that its been a year since there were two eggs...fragile little eggs, that my body produced 35 years ago, and whose genetic propensity to come in twos generated 90 years ago (my maternal grandmother), and had waited for this day to finally surge out of my ovaries to await their destiny.

Is this TMI?  Well, I don't care....it is pretty darn cool if you ask me....and I wouldn't ask me if I were you; I might regale you with tales of my ovulation pain or CM (and if you don't know what CM stands for, you probably do not want to know.)

Anyway...a year later and we go from cell replication to finding our hands!
