...includes helplessly watching sick kids and sick animals and not being able to do anything for them.
Finn has his first cold. I think Kian is developing the same thing (hope he can fend it off). Sosa, who is getting up there in age, it having a harder time walking and can't jump up on the bed anymore.
Fun stuff.
We do have Sosa on some meds, and I am doing all I can to make Finn comfortable, but this is my first baby cold and I am freaking out. Between making sure he is breathing and obsessing because I feel like his cold is my fault, I am getting very little sleep.
Why do I feel like the cold is my fault? Well, we of course, took them to my grandma's 90th birthday party. ....and, of course, everyone wanted to hold them. They were in heaven; they love to be held and gushed over, but I also knew that germs and disease were hanging out on every hand and around every corner. I still risked it because it seemed like the right thing to do..and probably was, but I wanted to run around telling people to wash their hands and to quit breathing on them!
Anyway, here are some photos from last Sunday. It really was a lovely party : (oh, and by the way, I don't think that my grandma or my brother and sister-in-law made them sick, and I know that maybe no one there made them sick....just that mommy guilt)

Matt and Kathy making a pass to Bob (Finn really liked Uncle Matt's funny faces)
This lady really liked holding Finn. I am sure he made her month.
