WOW! This was a life changing vacation. I haven't started going through the photos yet...hopefully post some very soon, but I can't even begin to explain of fantastic this trip was.
General rundown:
Where we went:
Ireland: Ring of Kerry, Mizen Head peninsula, Kinsale, County Wicklow and Dublin.
England: London, Greenwich and Weymouth.
France: Paris
What we ate:
Sushi, traditional English and Irish breakfast, pudding (blood sausages), Sunday roast, Boxties, scrambled eggs and salmon, lamb stew (my DH), seared tuna, beautiful roasted chicken, Shepard's pie, Guinness pie, a wide variety of cheese, soda bread, baguettes and so much more.
What we drank:
Guinness, French wine, Magners and Beamers cider, traditional cider, wide assortment of beers, FANTA (so much better in Europe) and a TON of water!
Most breathtaking site:
Mizen Head
Most fun:
Watching the final World Cup (France against Italy) in a bistro in PARIS. Meeting a young couple from Paris that same night....drinking lots of wine, having good conversation and experiencing the real Paris.
Drinking and singing in an Irish pub in Kenmare.
Most Relaxing:
Staying at Rise and David's (Melissa's friends) cottage in Weymouth on the Ocean. It was a much needed refresher at the end of a very busy trip.
Least Fun:
Melissa and I getting separated in Paris from Bob and Pat with only a couple Euros and no Metro tickets. Walking many many many miles with blisters in the horrible heat and humidity.
More to come....
