WE have moved into the hitting stage. I hope I have the patience and perseverance I need as we arrive at 18 months. They are unbelievably fun and adorable at this age and they are unbelievably frustrating and naughty too.
Today, our first day of our summer schedule, was a "let's hit Mommy and each other day." This increase in naughtiness luckily coincides with an increase in the cognitive ability to understand cause and effect, so I am trying all my tricks and feeling my way through this territory. I want to be consistent, but I have to find what works for us too.
Any books I should read? (I've read a few already. but would like to hear from other's what inspired you....not that any book is the be all end all, but I am always looking for new perspectives.
Anyone who claims this is easy is lying or delusional. Anyone who says, "My kid(s) never..." is either lying, delusional or should be more grateful and gracious 'cause Honey, you were lucky. :::kidding, sort of::::: ;-p
...but I am lucky too, the Boy's picked me flowers (with Daddy's help) for the first time on Sunday:
..and along with the hitting, we are now hugging too. So sweet. ()yes, I say "nice" one too many times!)

They are just too adorable. My two boys still hit each other and they are 15 and 10! When they were smaller I would sit them in time out and explain that hitting hurt and we did not use our hands to hurt each other.
I love the video of them, makes me miss those younger days so much.
